A Bite of PIE and a Bit of TALK

Take a quick bite of PIE to help your team become familiar with interpretation that aims to engage visitors through participation at all stages of the experience.

After your team explores Participation first, Information next and Encouragement to conclude, we will move on and spend the bulk of the session on TALK (AKA Conversational Interpretation).

The TALK model includes Try Talk Types, Ask Open Ended-Questions, Lead with Facilitation Techniques and Keep on Inspiring and covers all the essentials of talk-based interpretation.

This is a quick introductory course with limited time to discuss any of the content in detail.

Note- If you want your team familiar with both participatory and talk-based interpretation, we recommend that you sign up for Inspire through Participatory Interpretation  (8.5 hours) which combines both topics and includes enough time to tailor the discussions to your site.
